The week's Sevenoaks news in one Friday email. Read a full issue before you sign up, see exactly what goes in it, and what happens to your address.

The Sevenoaks Online weekly email is one message on a Friday carrying the week’s local news, what’s on and the practical information people here actually look up. It is free, and one click in any issue takes you off the list.

What is in it

Every issue is built from what we published in the seven days behind it, and nothing else:

  • A lead story at the top with its picture, whichever story we led with that week.
  • News: the planning decisions, council votes, licensing applications, inspection reports and figures, each with a headline and a line saying what it is.
  • What’s On: events, days out and the seasonal guides, in the weeks there are any.
  • Local Info and Property: only when something has actually changed, for instance altered bin dates or the month’s house price figures.

Every headline links to the full story here, so the email is a list of what is worth reading rather than a rewrite of it.

When it arrives

Friday, covering the previous seven days. A quiet week makes a shorter email rather than a padded one, and a week with no stories at all means no email.

The email has not launched yet. Until it does we are holding the addresses people give us and nothing is sent to them, and the first issue goes to everyone on the list when it starts.

We take your email address and nothing else, and it is used for one thing: sending you the Sevenoaks Online weekly email. We do not sell it, rent it or pass it to anyone else, and every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Our privacy notice has the detail.
